Belfer Grant


CYPRESS (Committee to Promote Respect in Schools) is pleased to offer local middle and high school teachers this grant opportunity for professional growth. One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) dollars will be awarded to supplement travel and hotel costs while attending the Belfer National Conference for Educators in Washington, D.C.

Journey to Justice Grant


CYPRESS (Committee to Promote Respect in Schools) is pleased to offer local middle and high school teachers the opportunity for professional development by fully funding participation in the University of Evansville’s 7-day Journey to Justice bus tour through cities of the South to explore the history of the Civil Rights Movement. This grant will be available to eight educators. The application deadline is March 15th.

Individual or Collaborative Classroom/ Community Grant


Teachers may request up to Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) for projects that increase classroom learning or provide students with an opportunity to make a positive impact on the community. Projects should support the CYPRESS mission of building respect and appreciation for diversity in schools and in the community.
