USI to host first Rechnic Holocaust Film Series February 25 and 26

University of Southern Indiana 8600 University Blvd, Evansville

This two-day event will be held Wednesday, February 25th and Thursday, February 26th. Dr. Eileen Angelini, the director and co-producer of France Divided, will be our esteemed guest for the series.

• Due to the generosity of Irene Rechnic all Rechnic events are free.
• The film series will be held in Kleymeyer Hall (LA0101) located in the basement of the Liberal Arts Center at USI and starts at 6pm both nights.
• Both the entrance to the basement and Kleymeyer Hall are accessible for individuals with disabilities as is the first-floor main entryway. There are five accessible parking spaces adjacent to the basement’s entrance, and 4 on the other side of the building. Weather permitting, starting at 5pm there will be a golf cart providing rides from the main Liberal Arts and Romain College of Business parking lots to the basement entrance for those that would be interested.

This new Film Series will occur each spring and complements the Rechnic Holocaust Speaker Series held each Fall. Information about both nights is below, including a summary of each film and the reasoning behind their inclusion. Please be warned that the subject matter, primarily for the first night, is shocking and graphic in its portrayal of the Holocaust.
